over 2,000 meters. Then, Ambalavao, commonly known as the gateway of the south,
leading to the vast Ihorombe plateau, where huge steppe and thick grass coexist
with aloe vera plants. The village of Ranohira finally opens up to the great
southern region, home to the the famous Isalo National Park, with its
